World Health Organization

The World Health Organization is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends.

The World Health Organization's Department of Violence and Injury Prevention and Disability (VIP) works to prevent injuries and violence, to mitigate their consequences, and to enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities irrespective of the causes.

FIA Foundation

The FIA Foundation an independent UK registered charity which manages and supports an international programme of activities promoting road safety, environmental protection and sustainable mobility. A member of the UN Road Safety Collaboration, the FIA Foundation also leads the international Make Roads Safe campaign.

The Road Safety Fund is housed as a separate 'designated Fund' within the FIA Foundation and is subject to UK charity law and the regulation of the UK Charities Commission. The FIA Foundation provides the day-to-day secretariat for the Road Safety Fund and charges no administration fee for managing the Fund.

Neither WHO nor the FIA Foundation is a beneficiary of the Road Safety Fund.
